Water is the most versatile defensive type:
- Super Effective: Fire (2x), Ground (2x), Rock (2x)
- Not Very Effective: Electric (0.5x), Grass (0.5x), Water (0.5x)
- Weaknesses: Electric, Grass
Aquashell (S-tier Water) is the best tank in the game. Water resists Fire and Ice naturally.
Electric Type
Electric is fast and powerful but has a critical weakness:

- Immune: Ground (0x damage)
Thunderfang's incredible Speed (120) makes Electric moves terrifying. Beware of Ground-types.

Using the Chart Effectively
When building teams:
- Check your team's shared weaknesses — If 3+ members share a weakness, you'll lose to that type
- Cover your type's weakness — Pair Fire with Water, Grass with Fire
- Exploit 4x weaknesses — Dual-type EvoMon with double weakness take 4x damage
- Don't over-cover — 1-2 Pokémon per weakness is enough
- STAB matters — A 2x super-effective STAB move (3x total) is better than a 4x non-STAB move
Frequently Asked Questions
How does STAB work?
STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) gives 1.5x damage when a EvoMon uses a move matching its type. Fire Flamewyrm using Fire moves gets 1.5x.
Can a move be 4x effective?
Yes, if the target has two types that are both weak to the move. Fire move vs Grass/Ice type = 2x × 2x = 4x.
Are immunities permanent?
Yes, Electric-type moves will always deal 0 damage to Ground-type EvoMon regardless of stats.
